WANT TO IMPROVE OUR

DESIGNED LANDSCAPES TO

PROMOTE HUMAN HEALTH

AND WELLBEING ?

At the GIPL, we do research with students, not by students.  Our unique culture of transdisciplinary exploration provides the perspective to begin to solve Nova Scotia’s and Canada’s most pressing issues of human wellbeing and changing landscapes.  The GIPL is unlike any other university-based research lab within the design disciplines.  The GIPL’s team is integrated throughout the faculty and curriculum of Dalhousie; able to deliver critical thinking skills at many educational levels and subjects within the social and natural sciences.

INNOVATE - DISCOVER - LEAD > THOUGH APPLIED RESEARCH

The Green Infrastructure Performance Lab at Dalhousie University provides a high-quality learning environment where our students gain valuable hands-on learning in the design and application of high performance landscapes. Studying and working within the GIPL will provide you with the competitive advantage employers seek - effective decision making and critical thought.

We are always looking for motivated and enthusiastic students to work collaboratively or individually at GIPL and Dalhousie to pursue new knowledge.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDY

Our undergraduates are able to compete at the graduate level through the knowledge and skills they gain from working with GIPL.  Undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to participate in The GIPL’s funded research projects during their studies.

POSTGRADUATE STUDY

The Green Infrastructure Performance Lab has an on-going commitment to producing hi-quality and innovative research.  GIPL’s team is dedicated to excellence as a teacher-mentor in your graduate studies. We invoke and guide new theory and methodologies which leads to applied knowledge.  Our culture of collaborative knowledge advances visionary solutions through participatory action research and sustainable frameworks
